|The Restoration Project|
The Heritage Lottery Fund was awarded to help undertake vital work needed to support the restoration of Langley Park until 2017, with a view to a further possible award being made in due course. Specialists were brought in to undertake various surveys of the Park, and now the Restoration Project is complete! See details of how the work was undertaken between 2008 and 2010 below.
Amanda Mulholland, HLF Access and Interpretation Officer
I joined the Bucks Country Parks Team to work on the HLF Langley restoration project as Access and Interpretation Officer. It was great to meet the Friends of Langley Parksoon after starting and working alongside the group.
I have been responsible for delivering all the outreach work for the project, ie organising a range of events to take place while the restoration works were taking place, developing educational resources for schools to use on site visits, and improving the interpretation materials for the site, such as leaflets, information boards, access routes and signs. With all of this came a great deal of consultation work to ensure the developments were successful, and working with the Friends of Langley Park was essential in shaping these plans.
